This comes as part of efforts to support Sudanese students who were forced by the political situation and instability in Sudan to seek refuge in Libya to complete their studies at the University of Tripoli. Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, has instructed the facilitation of procedures for Sudanese applicants at the University of Tripoli and emphasized that no tuition fees should be imposed on them.

The Prime Minister also directed the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation to grant work permits to Sudanese professors wishing to teach at Libyan universities, in accordance with the actual needs of the ministry.

The Sudanese Embassy announced that any new applications will be reviewed by a joint committee between the embassy and the admissions office at the University of Tripoli, with the intention of distributing the students to other universities in the region.
